This volume contains research papers presented at the 1993 Seminar on Environmental Criminology and Crime Analysis, attended by criminologists from the U.S., Canada, Great Britain, and Australia.
Abstract

Some of the topics covered by these papers include the choice- structuring effects of crime control, the distribution of deviance, locating serial killers through geographic profiling, the environment and residential burglary outcomes, and security as it relates to crime prevention. Other papers deal with subjects including statistics in law enforcement, research related to calls for police service, crime analysis using location quotients, street lighting as an environmental crime prevention strategy, community policing and community service aids, and the prevention of crime in clubs and bars.
