2010 National Survey of Prosecutors

The National Survey of Prosecutors has been conducted since 1990. The purpose of this award is to provide funding for the continued administration of the NSP-14. This project will focus on generating national estimates on the administration and operational characteristics of prosecutor offices that handle felony cases in criminal courts. Through the NSP-14, BJS will measure staffing, budgets, caseloads, and emerging offenses such as human trafficking and cyber-crimes, use of DNA evidence, and work performed in Indian Country. BJS anticipates all project tasks will be completed by December 31, 2015, including the data collection, nonresponse follow-up, data verification, data entry, and delivery of the a final data set and documentation to BJS.
