FY 2023 Oklahoma National Criminal History Improvement Program

The Oklahoma District Attorneys Council will transfer funds to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI) and Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC). OSBI will use funds to replace outdated equipment to improve information technology and cybersecurity infrastructure that will expedite the completion of ongoing projects to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of criminal history records. ODOC will use funds to consolidate offender records that will enable electronic retrieval of those records.  This will greatly improve criminal historic data and help in public safety as criminal records will be faster and easier to obtain and disseminate. All records, both current and closed will be digitized so sensitive records can be timely and accurately sent without using snail mail or fax.
