FY 2023 National Criminal History Improvement Project

The New Hampshire Department of Justice will use funds for two proposed projects: 1) Review and scan the backlog of criminal history records. Through the use of a vendor, the NH State Police will use funds to securely scan, perform quality control checks, and electronically upload ink-and-roll fingerprint cards to the NH records systems. The project will ensure criminal history records are more complete and accessible to the state and national record systems.  2) State Messaging Platform enhancements. Through the use of a vendor, the NH State Police will use funds for application and equipment needs to agencies to connect to the central criminal history system. Allowing the agencies to link to the system will increase the reporting and access of criminal history information on a state, and where applicable, and national level.
