Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2023, $2,880,000)
Under this award, the New Jersey Department of Public Safety requests funds to implement the New Jersey State Police’s (NJSP) Records Management System (RMS) modernization project. The purpose is to utilize a systematic and targeted approach for the statewide modernization of its current RMS by eliminating End-of-Life (EOL) components of the RMS platform, which is mission-critical and necessary for managing incident life cycle used by 2,000 troopers, investigators, and back-office agents for NJSP. The expected outcomes of the project include increased accuracy and availability of records of incidents created by troopers and investigators; arrest report details including narratives, summons warning inquiries, firearm purchase inquires, and investigation of incidents used by Intelligence and Special Investigation Units including high-tech crimes.
