FY 2023 Minnesota NCHIP Supplemental Funding

Under this award, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (MN DPS) requests funds for the following projects: Project 1: Criminal History System (CHS) Improvement Project – MN DPS will use funds to continue the activities to upgrade the CHS from previously funded NCHIP awards. Project 2: NCIC Date Quality Project – MN DPS would like to use funds to support 5 Senior Training and Auditing positions to maintain and enter wanted persons records and update protection orders. Project 3: Livescan Replacement Project – MN DPS would like to use NCHIPSF funds 1) for 27 livescan devices. The livescans will be installed in Sheriff’s Offices, PDs, and court locations across the state; 2) Livescan Deployment Manager position to ensure successful implementation of the Livescans; 3) Biometrics Systems Support Engineer Support Services for operational responsibility for the security and compliance of livescans, including system reports and review.
