FY 2023 Connecticut NCHIP Supplemental Funding

Under this award, the Connecticut Judicial Branch requests funds for the following projects: 1) Criminal Information System and Records Improvement – funds would be used to support contractors to reengineer and expand three court systems; the criminal court case management system, the adjudication reporting module for court events related to firearms eligibility, and the module’s interface with the NICS. The project is anticipated to increase the number of protective orders, misdemeanor convictions for domestic violence, mental health records, and expungements. 2) Data Network Redesign – funds would be used to contract for a Program Manager and Engineers to undertake the network redesign to align the findings from the FBI CJIS Control Assessment with other modern and approaches. The purchase of network switches, storage server, log security and management software are included in the project. 3) Data Network Reconstruction – funds would be used for contractors, software and hardware to begin the restructuring and reconfiguring of the IT infrastructure.
