Florida FY 2021 NICS Act Record Improvement Program (NARIP)

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) requests funds to support staff to provide consulting services related to upgrading older records into a more accessible format. FDLE continues to receive missing arrest data from local law enforcement agencies and the FBI. Contractors will also be used for oversight and to work with all 67 clerks of court to analyze and complete the missing information within the Florida CCH. FDLE is also requesting funds to continue the partnership with Broward County to research historic disposition records. The project will research and complete missing dispositions and ensure all relevant records are reported to the state and national records systems, including to the NICS Indices.
