BJS statisticians will present a methodological webinar on producing state and substate demographic estimates from NCVS data using multivariate Bayesian small area estimation (SAE) models. This session will cover model formulation, the challenges of applying SAE techniques to victimization survey data, and the implications for researchers and others interested in geographically disaggregated crime statistics. Presenters will discuss design considerations, estimation procedures, and limitations of the approach.
If you have questions for our presenter(s) or about webinar logistics, please send them in advance. Email [email protected] and include “NCVS Webinar” in the subject line.
