The National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) Knowledge Corner provides quick tips and explanations for NCVS data users on a variety of topics. In this video, BJS Statistician Jennifer Truman, PhD, provides an overview of the Supplemental Victimization Survey (SVS) to the NCVS. She gives a brief history of the SVS and an overview of changes made to the SVS over time. She also discusses who is eligible for the SVS, general timing of the data collection, and how stalking is defined.
