This document presents six articles on topics related to criminal justice, each based on the dissertation research of a doctoral candidate from Florida's State University system.
Abstract

Individual papers focus on how factors such as age, race, socioeconomic status, unemployment, and crime rate affect incarceration and probation decisions, whether or not they are consciously included in this decisionmaking. Additional papers focus on female representation in law enforcement and environmental sexual harassment in higher education. Another paper focuses on the role of race in capital punishment in the case of the Martinsville Seven. A further article presents campus crime statistics and recommendations related to campus security in the Florida State University System. Tables, map, notes, reference lists, and list of other dissertations related to criminal justice.
