BJS FY 12 Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies

The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) seeks to establish a cooperative agreement with a collection agent to administer the 2012 Census of State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies (CSLLEA2012). The main activities under this award include researching, developing, and maintaining a national roster (i.e., complete enumeration) of all publicly funded law enforcement agencies and conducting data collection. The information collected through this census will support a sampling framework to conduct other BJS law enforcement programs as well as surveys conducted by law enforcement organizations and the research community.
