The State Justice Statistics (SJS) Program is designed to maintain and enhance each state's capacity to address criminal justice issues through collection and analysis of data. The SJS Program provides support to each state to coordinate and conduct statistical activities within the state, conduct research to estimate impacts of legislative and policy changes, and serve as a liaison in assisting BJS to gather data from respondent agencies within their states.

Under this award, the Tennessee Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) intends to: (1) expand the amount and format of data available on the Tennessee Crime On-Line Website; (2) review and provide data from the Tennessee Criminal History Repository (TCHR) to the Governor's planning office for its Drug Court Evaluation project; and, (3) conduct an audit of the TCHR to identify the magnitude of erroneous charges and missing felony/misdemeanor flags stored in the system.
