Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $50,717)
The State Justice Statistics (SJS) Program is designed to maintain and enhance each State's capacity to address criminal justice issues through collection and analysis of data. The SJS Program provides support to each State to coordinate and conduct statistical activities within the State, conduct research to estimate impacts of legislative and policy changes, and serve as a liaison in assisting BJS to gather data from respondent agencies within their States.
Under this award, the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Statistical Analysis Center will convert the Microsoft Access Mini Records Management System (MRMS) to a Java web-based application. The conversion will result in a fully functional, integrated, and secure web-based crime incident collection tool for the state. Multiple and concurrent users at Missouri law enforcement agencies will be able to use this tool to report crime data to the State Repository and have it included in the FBI's NDex System.
