2008 SJS - Justice Cybrary
Note:
This awardee has received supplemental funding. This award detail page includes information about both the original award and supplemental awards.
The State Justice Statistics (SJS) Program is designed to maintain and enhance each state's capacity to address criminal justice issues through collection and analysis of data. The SJS Program provides support to each state to coordinate and conduct statistical activities within the state, conduct research to estimate impacts of legislative and policy changes, and serve as a liaison in assisting BJS to gather data from respondent agencies within their states.
Under this award, the Wisconsin Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) intends to conduct the following activities: 1) continue submitting data to BJS under the Deaths in Custody Reporting Program and develop a comprehensive identification and collection system to establish a more efficient and sustainable process; and 2) coordinate with the Wisconsin Human Trafficking Committee to go beyond the statewide survey of human trafficking completed in 2007 and conduct an assessment of gaps in the data to develop a comprehensive data collection system.
