FY 2023 NCHIP

The Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) in partnership with Department of Criminal Justice Information Services (DCJIS) will update the current National Crime Information Center (NCIC) platform to the new NCIC 3rd Generation (N3G). The primary goals and objectives of updating the NCIC platform to the new NCIC 3rd Generation (N3G) architecture is centered around improving communication, enhancing data management, and meeting the FBI standards for effective and secure information exchange with the NCIC. By meeting FBI standards for communication and data security, the upgrade enhances protection against cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of criminal justice information.
