FY23 Delaware SJS Program

The Delaware Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) requests funds to use existing access and relationships to merge criminal history arrest data, and data from the Department of Correction and Courts.  It is anticipated that this project will create a new database for the SAC, and visual tools that can be used by partner agencies to find more accurate and comprehensive information regarding Violations of Probations (VOP) and provide more informed decision making in the State of Delaware. Under core capacity-building project (Area B, C, and D) the DE SAC will: 1. Complete the 2022 Superior Court VOP database (estimated 1,900 records will be added). 2. Create a companion database of 2022 VOP data for Court of Common Pleas cases (approximately 3,000 records). 3. Using data from the Superior Court VOP database (approximately 4,300 total records), conduct an assessment of data quality, identify analytic strategies appropriate to the data and their quality and other analyses, and produce an accompanying limited-circulation technical report. 4. Continue efforts to facilitate access to/the development of automated download/export capabilities within the correction data system.
