FY23 North Carolina SJS Program

The North Carolina Criminal Justice Analysis Center (CJAC), located in the Governor’s Crime Commission in the Department of Public Safety, will complete a core capacity-building project under Core Capacity Area C: Increasing access to criminal justice information by expanding data available through the CJAC online, interactive data portal. NC Department of Information Technology assisted with development the data warehouse infrastructure and processes necessary to access data to begin the Justice Data Portal, launched in March 2022. The CJAC has established memorandums of agreement to obtain National Incident-Based Reporting System data, Traffic Stop Reporting data, and Adult Correction data. Dashboards have been created and are publicly available for crime and traffic stop reporting through the CJAC website (JusticeDataPortal.nc.gov).
