FY 2023 Kansas NCHIP Supplemental Funding

Under this award, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation requests funds to complete an analytical, disposition matching effort and Computerized Criminal History (CCH) records update. This would be Phase One of a multi-phase project. The project design includes six steps: 1) Startup and Project Initiation; 2) Data Gathering; 3) Existing Data Analysis; 4) Machine Learning; 5) Probabilistic Matching; and 6) Day Forward Matching. The ultimate goal of the project is to identify and updating a backlog of dispositions that have not been reported in the state repository, and where applicable, to the national records systems.
