Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $1,146,774)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJIS), Office of the State Court Administrator (OSCA), and Missouri Office of Prosecution Services (MOPS) have collaborated to use FY22 NARIP funds for the following projects: 1) OSCA will use NARIP funds to contract staff to develop enhancements for the statewide Show Me Courts case management system. The enhancements will be for the initiation and disposal of criminal and probate cases, related to NICS reporting; 2) MOPS will use NARIP funding for salary and fringe benefits for the following three positions: a full-time Technical Automation/Sex Offender/Firearms Resource Prosecutor (TARPSOR), a full-time in-house IT Specialist, and a part-time Deputy General Counsel, to provide backup and assistance to the TARPSOR. MOPS will also use funding towards a Court eNotice Integration project with Karpel PA case management system. The project will enable prosecutors to receive automatic electronic notifications of case updates throughout the life of a case rather than the current manual process. MOPS will also purchase Crimelines Digital Evidence Management Software. MOPS will purchase a permanent license for each prosecutor’s office in the state of this digital evidence management software, assisting with organization of cases with large amounts of evidence.
