BJS is seeking Statisticians (Social Science) at the GS-11/12 levels, with promotion potential to GS-14, to support key statistical programs focused on criminal victimization, law enforcement, corrections, courts, recidivism, and other special projects. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participating in or managing complex data collection projects that employ a variety of collection methods.
- Planning, organizing, and implementing data collection projects related to cooperative and interagency agreements.
- Analyzing a variety of data sets using appropriate statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, STATA, or R; applying statistical software to develop program code.
- Preparing studies and technical reports for publication and dissemination, and more.
