The Bureau of Justice Statistics seeks a Statistician who will be part of one or more teams carrying out statistical collections in criminal victimization, law enforcement, correction, courts, recidivism, or special projects. Job duties include—
- performing various statistical data collection activities, such as preparing, processing, analyzing, and coordinating core and periodic data collections
- managing, leading, or performing work that applies statistical theories, techniques, and methods for gathering, studying, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on statistical information
- consulting and collaborating with internal and external criminal justice agency representatives on statistical studies or other projects where extensive methodological or subject matter interpretation is required.
