The State Justice Statistics (SJS) Program is designed to maintain and enhance each state's capacity to address criminal justice issues through collection and analysis of data. The SJS Program provides support to each state to coordinate and conduct statistical activities within the state, conduct research to estimate impacts of legislative and policy changes, and serve as a liaison in assisting BJS to gather data from respondent agencies within their states.

The Minnesota Statistical Analysis Center (MNSAC) will carry out the following activities: (1) continue an evaluation of pre and post data collected from over 50 Youth Intervention Programs in the state; (2) expand the disproportionate minority contact data collection and analysis of findings to educate a wider audience about minority overrepresentation in the justice system in the state; and (3) collect and analyze data on human trafficking in Minnesota as identified by service providers, law enforcement, and county attorneys.
