Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2022, $81,532)

The Idaho Statistical Analysis Center (ISAC) requests funds to collect, analyze and disseminate state administrative data on behavioral health and substance use in Idaho. ISAC will partner with the Idaho Office of Drug Policy (ODP) to inform the analysis, which will examine available data from members agencies of the State Epidemiological Outcomes Workgroup (SEOW). The SEOW is coordinated by ODP, which is under the Executive Office of the Governor, and includes members from across the justice system and beyond. This project will allow ISAC to compile data from multiple sources and agencies in one place, analyze that data to better understand the nature of substance use and misuse in Idaho (including any public safety and/or public health implications that may arise from substance use), evaluate the quality of the data and identify any gaps in current knowledge and/or data, and ultimately disseminate the knowledge gained through this analysis to policymakers and the public via an interactive Tableau data dashboard and a technical report.
