The Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) is seeking an IT Project Manager in the Technology and Data Management Unit. BJS is the statistical arm of the Department of Justice (DOJ), and this position helps to design, develop, and manage various resources related to the release of BJS data and products in compliance with government-wide and DOJ policies, procedures, and directives. Job duties include but are not limited to—
- enforcing federal policies and adopting applicable industry standards related to data, customer experience, security, and confidentiality protection
- supporting the categorization and handling of data based on data characteristics and the terms set forth in data use agreements made with investigators and data contributors
- providing and maintaining internal access to data resources for the organization's staff and contractors, for purposes of data analysis and visualization
- leveraging innovative project management methodologies to complete projects involving multiple stakeholders across multiple organizations.
