The Bureau of Justice Statistics encourages comments for 60 days until May 12, 2017, on the efficacy of its revised confidentiality pledge. These revisions are required by the passage and implementation of provisions to the federal Cybersecurity Enhancement Act of 2015, which requires the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to provide federal civilian agencies' information technology systems with cybersecurity protection for their Internet traffic.
