2012 Census of Law Enforcement Training Academies (CSLETA)

The 2012 Census of Law Enforcement Training Academies (CLETA) project will endeavor to generate accurate, reliable, timely, and relevant national statistics about state, regional, and local law enforcement training academies in the United States. Specifically, this project will collect information referencing 2012 on the recruits, staff, curricula, facilities, and policies in all of the approximately 750 academies operating in the United States. Findings from this project will be used throughout the criminal justice community as it seeks to better understand the nature of law enforcement training academies operating throughout the United States.
